Assembly Election in Goa will be conducted on the 4th February 2017. CEO, Goa will soon release Goa Assembly Elections Notification 2017. Goa Assembly Election Results will be declared on the 11th March 2017.

Goa Assembly Election 2017 will be conducted for 40 assembly constituencies. Chief Electoral Officer/CEO Goa will soon release Goa Assembly Elections Notification 2017. Election Commission of India has recently released Assembly Election Schedule for 5 states in India namely Goa, Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Goa Assembly Elections 2017 will be conducted only in one phase for all 40 assembly constituencies. BJP and Congress are the main political parties in Goa. Goa Assembly Election Nominations will be filed from 11th January 2017 and date for withdrawal of nomination is 21.01.2017.

Last election was held in the year 2012 in Goa. BJP has won 21 seats out of 40 and formed the Government in Goa. Congress party has won only 9 seats. This year BJP will face tough competition from other political parties such as Congress, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak, Goa Vikas Party, Nationalist Congress Party, All India Trinamool Congress, United Goans Democratic Party Etc. The terms of the Legislative Assembly of Goa expiring on 18th March 2017. There are 10,85,271 registered voters in Goa. Final electoral rolls of all these voters will be released on the 5th January 2017.

Photo Electoral Rolls will be used during Goa General Elections 2017. About 1642 polling stations will be established for the smooth conduct of Goa Assembly Elections 2017. In 2012, a total of 1612 polling stations were established. Goa Assembly Elections 2017 will be conducted at all polling stations using EVMs. The Model Code of Conduct has already been came into effect.
