West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress and Tamil Nadu's AIADMK were set to retain power as BJP was on road to victory in Assam and Left made a comeback in Kerala.


Sitting MLA KS Sabarinathan of Congress wins by 21,314 votes against AA Rasheed of CPI(M) in Aruvikkara constituency.
K Kunhiraman of CPI(M) wins by a margin of 3,832 votes against K Sudhakaran of Congress from Udma in Kasargod district.
PT Thomas of Congress wins by a margin of 11,996 votes defeating Sebastian Paul (LDF-ind) in Thrikakara constituency.
Roji M John of Congress defeats Benny Moonjely (JDS-LDF) by 9,186 votes in Angamally constituency.
NA Nellikkunnu (IUML-udf) defeats Ravisha Thantri Kuntar (BJP-NDA0 by 8,607 votes in Kasaragod.
Kovur Kunjumon (RSP(L)-LDF) wins by a margin of 20,529 votes against his rival Ullas Kovoor (RSP-UDF) from Kunnathur constituency.
